ARTICLE 5.6 DUTIES OF THE ZONING OFFICER

It shall be the duty of the Zoning Officer, upon the filing of an application for a sign permit, to examine such application and, if it shall appear that the proposed sign complies with all of the requirements of this ordinance and all other laws and ordinances of the Township, to issue a permit for such sign within 10 business days of the date of receipt of a completed application unless the applicant consents to an extension of such time The Zoning Officer shall indicate on the application the date on which he determines it to be complete If the Zoning Officer denies the request for a permit, he shall indicate the specific reason(s) for such denial with reference to the section of this ordinance or other applicable laws or ordinances being violated. The determination that a permit shall not issue shall be made within ten (10) business days of the date the application is determined to be complete

The Zoning Officer shall maintain a register listing all approved sign applications and shall record in such register the expiration dates for any temporary signs approved by him or the Township Committee if the approval has been issued by the Township Committee the register shall contain the date of the resolution as well as its number.
