ARTICLE 5.13 MUNICIPAL PURPOSE SIGNS | |||||||
The Township Committee may authorize the erection of municipal purpose signs to advise the traveling public that they are entering or leaving the municipality or that they are a location of historic significance. Any such signs shall comply with the following conditions | |||||||
1 The sign is to be located within the public right-of-way. upon governmentally owned land, or upon private property where permission has been granted to the Township by recorded agreement. | |||||||
2 The sign is to be on a pole or standard which does not exceed eight (8) feet in height | |||||||
3. The sign shall be adjacent to a roadway within the municipality and for entering or leaving signs, within 300 feet of the municipal boundary

4 The specific design, location and content is to be approved by the Township Committee before installation | |||||||
5. The sign shall not be illuminated
