§211-127. Maintenance of landscaping and premises

A. All trees, shrubbery and other items of landscaping required as part of the site plan approvals heretofore or hereafter granted shall be maintained and, if necessary, replaced by the owners of such property. Said items of landscaping shall be maintained at all times at least to the same quality required at site plan review as approved by the Division of Parks and Forestry Lawns shall be maintained so that the length of grass and weeds, if any, does not exceed six (6) inches In the event that said maintenance or replacement is not completed by a property owner within fifteen (15) days from the date of written notice thereof from the Supervisor of the Division of Parks and Forestry, then the township shall be authorized to hire a private landscaper to make such maintenance or replacement. The hiring of a private landscaper shall be accomplished after receipt of three (3) written bids or quotes by the Division of Parks and Forestry and the award of the work to be performed to the lowest responsible bidder-landscaper

B. All on-site parking lot pavements, sidewalks, curbs, fences, wells and signs, required or reviewed as part of the site plan approvals heretofore or hereafter granted, except as noted in Ordinance No. 38-1975, shall be maintained and, if necessary, replaced by the owners of said property These items shall be maintained at all times at least to the same quality required of said items at the time they were initially installed In the event that said maintenance or replacement is not completed by a property owner within fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of written notice thereof, then the township shall be authorized to hire a private contractor to make such maintenance or replacement The hiring of a private contractor shall be accomplished only after receipt of at least three (3) written bids or quotes, and the award of the work to be performed shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder

C. The cost of the necessary maintenance or replacement shall be charged to the property owner and, if not paid within thirty (30) days of notification of the amount expended to correct the deficiencies, shall be certified to the Tax Assessor and shall become a municipal hen against the property.
